- RBPerryExplorerOne thing about tire rotation, you don't want to mix your front with duals because they wear differently. You want your duals to be the exact same size so they wear evenly.
My experience is with 18 wheelers and I assume it is the same on motorhomes. - wbwoodExplorer

The tire rotation kinda surprises me a bit. We generally run our tires for 8 or 9 years and then change them out. How many of you out there are rotating them.
Just curious.
They should be replaced somewhere around 7 yrs no matter how many miles are on them. Our rig is just over 2 years old and only have a little over 6000 miles on it. So we will be around 20,000 miles on the tire when we switch them out. - BobboExplorer IIIRotating the tires is done to even out the tread wear. Since a MH tire will age out and be replaced long before any of the tires show any tread wear at all, I consider rotating the tires to be a senseless exercise in futility.
I also agree that we need more information about the engine to estimate oil change costs. A diesel costs MUCH more than a gasser. - dahkotaExplorerWe have 25K miles on our tires and have yet to rotate them. They are wearing evenly and well so we probably won't unless we have an issue.
Oil changes vary depending on where and in which part of the country. $65 to $125 has been our experience, including oil. - John___AngelaExplorerThe tire rotation kinda surprises me a bit. Just curious. - wbwoodExplorerAnother thing to consider with a Class A is that most (not all) have larger tires than others. So you may need to go to a specialty shop to get it done.

My Ford dealer has been doing oil changes on Ford chassis motorhomes for $30 in the Quick Lane. This is a truck servicing dealership, I can't guarantee all will do it. The Quick Lane handles the work by having a technician of slight build crawl under it.
Service for a diesel pusher can cost a whole lot more, you might be buying hundreds of dollars worth of service parts and fluids, even before labor costs, but you might not be doing this as often as once a year.
Tire rotation will require a truck lift or multiple jacking operations. I can see this going as high as $100-200 with today's labor rates. This is not a common service, as very few commercial operators rotate tires on heavy vehicles; they tend to replace steer or traction tires as needed rather than trying to evenly wear 6-10 tires for replacement of whole sets.
My local Ford dealership quoted me $50 to change the oil on our Class C. They also asked about the size of the rig to see if they can accommodate. Different dealerships may be able to get bigger rigs in than ours. Others may not be able to even get our 32'er in. - tatestExplorer IIMy Ford dealer has been doing oil changes on Ford chassis motorhomes for $30 in the Quick Lane. Which chassis manufacturer? How big a rig? Answer depends on these factors as well.
- robsouthExplorer IIWhen I had my Holiday Rambler MH built on a Ford chassis, I always took it to the local Ford dealer that had a "large truck" department. They changed the oil, lubed the chassis, etc and as I recall it was around $200.00, but that was maybe 10 years ago. Never rotated the tires so can't help you there.
