If you plan on a truck/trailer combo, the Montana LLC (Limited Liability COMPANY, not corporation) may be the way to go. Here in Montana, ALL trailers carry PERMANENT registration. You will never have to renew!
Also, there are lots of diesel trucks out there that are in very good condition and 11 years old or older. That also qualifies for PERMANENT registration.
If you would like to have a motorcycle or street-legal ATV (yes, that can be done in Montana!), they also have PERMANENT registration.
Same for all boats.
Truck/trailer/trailer towing is also legal in Montana (and many other Western states).
I have PERMANENT registration on my motorhome and the "toy truck" (see sig.)
The Bennett Law Firm in Missoula, MT would be glad to assist you in setting up the LLC, or you can google Montana LLC for lots of information.
