Thanks all. This is really great info. So there seem to be three strong recommendations with pros and cons to each (registration renewals, annual inspections, insurance, sales tax differences etc)
1. Set up a LLC in Montana
2. Use someone like Alternative Resources in South Dakota
3. Use Escapees in Texas
It would be great to hear more from folks (particularly any non-residents like us) who have used one of these or similar approaches. So please keep the responses coming.
