Crack in sidewall of rear outside dually

So I head to my RV storage place today on my day off to do a few things and get ready for a trip next week. I decided to check my tire pressure and found a 2-3 inch long crack in the sidewall of a rear outside tire. I have inspected those tires multiple times and this has to be a new crack. These tires are about a year old. What gives? Did I hit something? Who knows. My question is I guess I should have it inspected huh?

  • Thanks Folks.

I have never had a tire replaced on an RV. Does one generally have both of the dual tires replaced at the same time on one side or all four? Just spoke to a guy who said that if my other dual inside tire wasn't too old we could just replace one. Any other concerns I should watch out for?
  • It appears to be a minor cut, get it inspected at a major tire dealer but I will guess they will say it is within limits.
  • Road hazard might cover a new tire if you have it on the tires. I would look at all options before springing for a new Goodyear tire. JMO
  • It would appear that you rubbed hard something possibly blue or yellow/gold. You probably will have to spring for a new tire.:(
