Howdy Liza007! I think you should be in pretty good shape in early November. Obviously, there is the occasional early storm that can mess up plans. Just keep an eye on the weather and be prepared to sit a couple days if something happens to develop.
I don't know much about campgrounds and such in the east so, unless you get some better advice, I'd download one of the RV park apps on your phone. They generally tell you what is nearby and give a bunch of info (are they open).
A couple tips. Don't be in a hurry - I know, easier said than done. Mistakes happen when in a hurry and stressed. If pulling into an RV park/campground, plan to do it BEFORE it get's dark. Again, accidents happen much easier at night. Finally, you are starting a new adventure - start enjoying it the moment you start the drive!
