We camped last year and this gentleman and wife had his MH painted professionally with a mural of him riding his Harley out west. It started at the passenger front and wrapped around to the drivers side of the scenery in his home state.
His MH had a garage with a lift for the bike. He definitely was more than happy to discuss his art work and biking travels. Some people go out of their way to get attention, others don't. As others said, look for the signs, flamingo's, other things that might suggest they are interested in conversation.
All that being said you won't find those at our site. I prefer to have our time to ourselves ( usually aren't at the MH anyway), not that we aren't socialble, but after a very stressful job working with people it's nice to get away and not say a word if I wish.
Small talk is fine with me, but hours of conversation, sharing campfires or meals probably won't happen.
