Curious on the social aspect of rv'ing

Not sure how to ask this, but when you all are rv'ing, do most people want other rv'ers to be nice and start conversations at the campground or do they usually want to be left alone. I've been to campgrounds where everyone seems to be so nice and social, but then to others where your afraid to say hello to some. Any advice?

  • We have found most everyone while out camping to be nice with differing degrees of social interaction. We will tend to keep to ourselves but do a lot of waving while walking around.
  • Can only speak for myself but we enjoy meeting people.
I think it depends a lot on the kind of place you are camping.
We usually stay at state parks or corps of engineer campgrounds and most people are very friendly.
We always try and wave and speak, I think you just have to play it from there to see how people react.
We try very hard not to be standoffish or overly friendly, again it is something you just have to feel.
