Most vehicles that have DRL factory installed will have them come on when you start the vehicle, so if you have them you really don't have a choice to turn them off and when you shut the vehicle off, the DRL's go off. I have no choice in the matter without doing some major rewiring, so I run them on my MH. My CRV does not have DRL so I don't run them when I drive the CRV. There are some roads in Califonia that are designated "Daylight" sections that require you to turn on your headlights during daylight while on that section, which I do, because the fine can be quite high. So if you run DRL doesn't bother me one way or the other
