Dealing with moisture in the fridge

We've been propping the fridge and freezer open after each trip when we return the RV to storage, only to find that the next day, there is tons of condensation. Obviously, we don't want this due to concerns about humidity/mold/bad karma, but what do we do about it? I've heard about laying down towels/paper towels/newspaper, but even if they catch the water initially, I have to believe that the Florida heat will evaporate the water into the trailer in short order. So it seems that all we can do is return the next day and wipe it up and take the wet paper towels with us.

What do you folks do?
