Dinnerware for RVing

We recently transition from tent to a TT. We are continuing to use our :
GSI enamel coated stainless dinnerware set
insulated stainless 16oz tumblers for
Glacier Point Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle (32 OZ). Double Walled Construction.

I like stainless as its easy to clean and anti-bacteria properties.

I use melamine. Years ago when Pfaltzgraff was big, you could buy their patterns in melamine. I bought one of those and am still using it 12 years later. Very good quality. I love it. It is starting to chip around the edges and I am thinking of replacing it. Saw some earlier this week I really liked, but I'm not ready to pitch mine just yet.

The Corning stores sell good quality melamine. Target has some nice patterns, etc.

Plain white Corelle from a local outlet is our choice. The company has been making that pattern since at least the '70's so it's easy to replace.
It's true that a piece can shatter if hit at the wrong angle but it happens rarely.
No harder to clean up than a china or ceramic piece assuming you remember your grandmother's admonishment to sweep, damp mop, and sweep again.
Good reminder for those of us who like to walk barefoot and are now using bifocals with a special shout out in the man in my life who thinks paper towels clean everything that duct tape won't fix;).

I only use paper goods when we are having a large party. No sense in making the manual dishwasher more tired at the end of the evening.

When I got into this about 13 years ago, somebody on this forum said, "use a similar quality to what you use at home". That has proven to be very good advice. We also use a lot of paper plates too.

We use Corelle as well. We put it in a bottom cabinet drawer after some decided to migrate from the top cabinet to the floor on our Alaska trip. Most of our six settings flew out and only two pieces exploded. We don't put anything between the pieces while stored and, outside of the aforementioned flight training, none have been damaged in five plus years.

We had a four place setting of Corelle Wear but never used it so now we use paper plates, bowls, plastic solo cups, and plastic silverware. Works for us.

Depends, we us paper and melamine then we have our trusty steel ARMY MESS HALL TRAYS. Those can not be destroyed, lot's of room, divided, must be washed.

Another Corelle user here. Melamine shouldn't be used in a microwave, nor should plastic containers. Even the plastic containers that say microwave safe shouldn't be trusted in my opinion.
