Just curious what road conditions you all consider acceptable for RV travel.
I have an older Class C and am hesitant to take it down some gravel roads for fear of appliances, cabinets and who knows what else coming apart. On the other hand, I know these things are designed for a certain amount of shake-rattle-and-rolling.
How much is too much?
The roads I'm thinking of are county maintained, gravel roads that the locals fly over at 50+mph - I'm always afraid I'll will bounce right off the road at that speed so even in a car I'm taking it much slower than they do.
Obviously there are people who live down these roads who have RVs. I assume they occasionally leave their driveway, so maybe I'm worrying way too much.
No, nope, nada. I will not take my MH down roads like that. And I most certainly would not 'plan' a trip on roads like that.
Living on a gravel road with an RV is one thing. You pull out slowly and head for real roads. But unless you like repairing things using them as a destination is IMHO foolish.
