I'm scouring the googlesphere and Amazon looking for a new set of dishes to keep in the RV. I don't want melamine since they don't microwave well, but want something big enough for a decent steak and potato and will handle cutting meat on. I'd like to get a set that at least includes bowls and maybe cups.Anybody find some they like?Thanks muches!

We use Corelle and have had no issues with them. As I recall our set came with dinner plates, coffe cups, soup bowls, small plates.

I second Corelle. Never had any issues in or out of the RV using them for pretty much everything you listed. The only negative is finding the initial set you like and any additional pieces afterwards. It's not uncommon for a style to go dormant for a while before magically reappearing and widely available. So, when you find a design you like, grab it and grab extras just in case they go "out of stock" for awhile. ;)

A third for Corelle. We've been using the same set since 2005 and haven't broken anything so far.

Forth for Corelle they have served us well!

Corelle. White. They're light weight and hard to break. Very durable.Buy a basic set and look at the a la carte singles to round it out.White always looks good. If you need to add to your set at a later date this is so easy, in Corelle white is white. Eazy Peazy..

We liked the Corelle for camping and afterwards replaced our home crockery with Corelle. Corelle is highly functional, break resistant and lasts for many years.

Another vote for Correlle. A tip- While travelling in our MH I would layer a paper towel between all the dishes to prevent rattling. Noises drove me nuts in our MH.

After a plate of Corelle breaking into a million slivers, I would not use them in the RV and haven't. We have high end plastic that is microwaveable that we bought from Target years ago. Serves us well when we use hard dishes, otherwise we use a good paper plate and burn everything.

If I showed you my dishes you would not consider anything other than Correlle. Half my dishes broke on the last Arizona trip. I now have 3 plates, a bowl and a saucer left from a 16 piece set.

We e usd the same set of Corelle dinner wear since 2005. In 2 motor homes, 2 fifth wheels and a TT toy hauler. Never broke a single plate and travelled over 50,000 miles.
