Because of where we camp, often dry camping at an airfield somewhere, or dishes and stuff gets bounced around pretty good sometimes.
We quickly discovered, as any trucker will tell you, it's a bunch easier to keep stuff from moving around in the first place than it is after it's already moving.
All we did was get some foam kids balls from the dollar store, we squish them, put them on top of the stacks of dishes and let go. As the balls expand they push up on the shelf above with just enough force to keep them from bouncing and also to push them firmly down into the foam shelf liner.
BTW, those little spring-loaded curtain rods between the floor and the under-side of the counter will keep drawers closed too.
