Thanks for the input and getting me straight on loops in brake line. I thought the loops were for stress which made me wonder why not all brake installs didn't have them?
This install is going on a 8,000 pound trailer as upgrade/replacement for existing elec drum brakes. Going to get complete kit. I'll have to replace my mid 90's brake controller and going with Hydrastar brake actuator. Sort of sold on a Kodiak kit at the moment but I could be easily persuaded to another brand.
(hint to all the guys) :) Score another one for Escapees magazine. The final "go ahead" was result of only 3 blocks from our house. A bicyclist drove off the sidewalk into street right in front of us, we barley missed him. Got home, parked trailer, wife checks the mail and there's the latest Escapees magazine. My wife is probably like most other women and doesn't read many technical articles on anything mechanical. But she reads Escapees magazine cover to cover. Article is written by a women and discusses the benefits of disk brakes.
