Disk brake line help, please

I'm planning out my strategy for installing disk brakes.

1) Those curly loops that people put in the brake line for disk brakes. What is the purpose of them? I see some installs that have them and some that don't.

I can snake my line along the propane line but unsure how to mount, any ideas?

(Found great vid on the 2nd question about tube bending so I deleted it)

Thanks

  • X2 and it takes up the extra line you might have, they make clips to fasten the line , use the steel one,s . they look just like conduit hangers . I used self tapping screws and drilled into the frame .I,ve put disc brakes on my boat trailers. not a hard job. remember to bleed the air out. and its easier to loosen the bleeder valve on the caliper before you install it,
  • A loop in a metal line, is inserted to allow for mechanical expansion and contraction of the line.

Last time I had a "mechanic" do any work he cross threaded the oil pan bolt.

How would anybody know anything if they didn't ask?
