When we go camping with 4 or 5 others and want sites next to each other or clustered, we reserve. When I do 3 months in Fla, we reserve. But when we just travel like the 8000 mi trip we did a couple years ago, then we wing it. It's difficult if not impossible to have that kind of trip planned when you have no idea where you will be or for how long.
