Do they cut hose end off at dump station on purpose?

They get cut off because people run over and crush the connectors, and it is better just to cut it off. Also for sanitary purposes, to keep people from using that hose to fill tanks, or drink out of after sticking the end into a drain hole for cleaning. and yes, I have and will flush at a dump station, but only if there is no one else waiting, and if there is a faucet that I can connect my flush hose to.
