i'd love to know how much ice is. here in Thailand a small bag (about 1gallon i'd guess) from 7/11 is about $0.15 so it would be the cheapest option, but i have no idea in America
inverters are pretty inefficient and since i hope to be parked most of the time, not running the engine, a battery system would be better
those little 12v 48W 7 liter car coolers would probably work ok
