i realize vegas is a bit of a special case where good deals are concerned, a lot harder to find deals like $20 in NY, Chicago, etc, but where i can find them, it will make a nice break from sleeping in the van.
i love the great outdoors, obviously or i wouldn't be doing it, but i think everyone needs a bit or variety on a trip like this, a couple of weeks in nature and a week or so in town should be a good balance
i'd be looking for a van like this van
doesn't look likes its had a hard life
Yeah, that looks good but has been detailed at a dealer. There is no way I would buy a cargo van or commercial vehicle without my own independent inspection. That is, unless I could immediately flip it and make over $2K for my trouble.
I've done inspection work for friends and family, also owned a lot of rolling stock. I also work in building trades. You don't need that kind of experience to understand how some commercial vehicles are treated but it helps. In today's business climate there are just a few reasons why a business would choose to sell and/or replace a fleet vehicle.
1) It is at the end of it's easily usable life cycle and rather than pay for repairs, a replacement is decided as the best course.
2) The owner's business is liquidated.
3) Decisions internal to the company have pushed it into larger vehicles or eliminated the smaller ones.
4) It's been driven hard and put up wet, basically run into the ground.
I think you will find with cargo vans, aspects #2 & #4 will represent 75% of sales.
Hope this helps.
