But there is a huge difference in the payments. New is cheaper.
making financial decisions on the cost of payments is not conducive to long term financial benefit... Dave Ramsey would suggest that any payments other than primary living residence is a bad idea.
Actually Dave Ramsey promotes not having a house payment. He will only ok it if it is 15 yrs or shorter. He also says you don't need a credit score...
And remember, everyone's "financial benefit" is different. People live in different size homes for different reasons. People buy certain types of cars for certain reasons. People buy groceries and eat certain type of food for certain reasons. One mans "financial benefit" might be ten million dollars and another may b five hundred thousand. You would not have RV's like you have today if it weren't for people being able to finance them. There would not be enough people purchasing them outright to warrant the need for so many different brands and types. Also, they would probably cost more, since they would be producing a lot less of them.
I don't promote how anyone handles their finances. I think if people want to live their life on certain "experts" advice, then so be it. But I don't feel it's my place or anyone else's to tell others how to handle theirs. People do what they have to do and how they have to do it. It's their business, not mine. Not yours.
