safest yes. However, while our local water is very good for taste, There are lots of places in the U.S. where the water is safe to drink, but taste wise pretty awfull IMHO. So, when we visit places with not good tasting water we buy bottled water. Some places so loaded with Chlorine the smell is enough to make one plug your nose, other places iron and other minerals very heavy concentrations and not very good tasting IMHO.
