You state that you have a manual transmission. The weak link there will be the clutch.
Do the European models use a different transaxle assembly with possibly a more heavy duty or larger clutch ?
As someone already stated, are the European and USA engines rated at the same HP ? They very well might not be due to different emissions requirements.
You're going to have to be careful of that clutch when you maneuver in tight places (campgrounds), going back and forth between 1st and reverse when getting into campsites. It was never designed for that.
