- wa8yxmExplorer IIIThere is NO adapter that hooks into the fill fitting and in fact that is a one -way fitting (Fill only).
Use the Stay-A-While from Mr. heater, this appears to be identical to the Extend-a-stay which used to be made by Marshall brass and many of us have.. works great, easy install.
rememver POL (Prest-o-Lite) also stands for PUT ON LEFT, it is left handed threaded. - SCVJeffExplorerThe Extend-A-Stay is inserted between the tank and regulator. I have never seen a fill adapter on a horizontal tank anywhere but at the LP station
- Golden_HVACExplorerHi,
I have a extend-a-stay type of tee in the line for my motorhome. It basically looks like the regulator input on one side, output of the tank on the other side, and has a fitting that looks like the top of a disposable 1# propane tank in the middle.
To that fitting, I can hook up a 12' long extension hose, and run my lantern or propane BBQ.
I also bought a LP tank adapter for my propane 20# tank, that I can connect directly to the BBQ or LP lantern.
I also bought two connectors that look like the base of the LP lantern, so LP input fittings, with 3/8" output MPT. I bought a 3/8" MPT coupling to connect them together. So now I can hook up this connector to the RV tee, then the 4' hose from the 20# tank to this tee. I connect everything with both tanks shut off, as it can shoot out propane the way it is, if the tank is not off.
Then I can open either the RV tank or portable 20# tank, and use propane from the open tank. I was able to live in my RV 4 years without filling the main tank this way.
Good luck!
Fred.
