I am retired from the military and I do not think you should purchase an RV to live in. You are purchasing something that will depreciate every year and you will have to have money for maintenance. You also do not control where you will be stationed. If you are assigned to Minot, ND, you will definitely not want to live in the RV. Your best bet is to use on base housing if available or rent something.
