Our budget is 75 to 80 thousand. So...should we get a new TT and find a used truck that's in good condition or keep the car we have a buy a Class A??? Please help! Thanks ??
I do not know what you can get for 75K new but in the Used market you should be able to get a very nice class A.. in fact I know where there is a Class A that appears to be in excellent condition (But there may be a Gotcha,, not sure since I did not test that system) for about half that when it goes on the market. I know it needs new house batteries but there is an expert on scene who can help you with that, And there MAY be a plumbing issue.. NOT for sale by a dealer so your PDI (post Delivery Inspection/instruction) Will be by an RVer who has a fair idea of how that rig works. RUNS great (I did drive it, only a few hundred yards but I did drive it).
There are many other deals as good scattered about the country.
Reserve at least 5K for "Incendetals" including making your car into a trailer (Towable) which sounds a lot more complex than it is.
now: A class A being a MOTOR vehicle likes to travel, they do not like sitting in one spot for years on end.... Trailers, on the other hand, are better at sitting, but you'd need to either pay someone to deliver it or get a big honking truck to replace your car.
Still with 75K you should be able to do quite well in either market, Including a new Truck (or slightly used)
IF you go the trailer route pick the trailer first, then get a truck at least ONE SIZE LARGER than what you need to tow it.. I'm serious, that one size (or more) larger makes it way easier to tow.
