Fan on air conditioner

With the hot tempetures this weekend I'm wondering how much using just the fan on the air conditioner will drain power on a battery because we have no electric hookups
Will I be able to run it all night. Thanks

Depends on your amp hours available and what else you will be doing. How many batteries do you have? What are the amp hours of those batteries and what's the amp draw of the overhead fan? It's a math problem that only you have the components to calculate. And don't forget to add in whatever other things will be drawing power, (lights etc) My guess would be in any case they won't last very long running a fan constantly.

As an example, the typical RV furnace uses a 12v fan. Now this usually will last all night but it's very important to note that it's on a cycle and not constant. it may run for 5 minutes every half hour. Cumulatively that means the fan only really runs about 50 or 60 minutes. That cycle alone brings batteries pretty low. So I would guess at the most, an overhead fan on 12v batts (again depending on what kind and how many) may last a few hours max but probably not that long.
  • Ok that makes sense so better to buy a plug in fan then to turn On the fan part of the air conditioner unit

Which overhead fan are you talking about?

You won't be able to run the AC or any part of it at all without 120v power.

    This.

    You need 12 V fans.
They likely won't help very much and won't run very long.....like maybe 4 hours.

You probably have a 12V fan in the bathroom and possibly another one. No need for electric on that but it is a fan and will use batts. Probably won't last a very long time.

Do you have a generator or access to one? Otherwise you can't run the AC or replenish your batteries. And how many batteries you have will determine how many amp hours you have.
