I have learned while it is important to save something for the future, it is just as important to live in the now. If that means I have to make a payment, so be it.
I have a friend who takes home double what my family takes in. Yet, they never do anything as a family. It kills me because they seem to be missing out on the best part of having a family so they can be overly comfortable in 25 years.
Maybe I am wrong and to each their own, just my two cents.
