What happens is... They get tight. They have the money. They won't spend it. They poor mouth. It's something that happens: I think they start seeing the end of the line for making money and it feels like its never enough. Another recession? Another depression? They want to have the security of having enough money to weather tomorrow' uncertainties. The world is tilted wrong right now; it feels like something bad is going to happen.
They want to have the resources to come out ok with anything life throws at them. Honestly, I think it is smart. Yes, you need to enjoy the fruits of your labor, but frankly, I don't blame them.
I think there is a book called "the millionaire next door". The millionaires aren't the ones you think they are. The millionaires blend in and act like everyone else around them. You can't necessarily pick them out by their stuff.
