Sounds like I should have no problems with the 22/24 foot Northwoods and even the 27 foot Sea Breeze/Puma models. And great point on limiting slides to just one side.
Have you had any problems with the slides leaking? I've been tracking a couple on YouTube who are living in a trailer with a slide who have had lots of water damage due to slide leaks.
During the years when our boys were growing up we did a lot of long distance travel camping throughout the US and although I personally would have preferred a trailer no longer than ~ 25' coupler to bumper for the ability to park it on pretty well
any campsite I have to admit that not once did we ever have a situation in which I couldn't get our 24' KZ Spree which measured 26' 9" coupler to bumper on any campsite. Our current couple's trailer is a mere 22' 6" coupler to bumper but had we to do it again I'd go a bit longer, my current fav being the
Coachmen Freedom Express 231RBDS - total length 26' 10", 1/2 ton towable weight, terrific CCC, good tank capacities, full length queen bed, tons of storage, and has all the amenities we'd ever need in a couple's trailer including a decent amount of floor space. :)
Our current trailer is the first of many we've ever owned with a slide so it took a bit of convincing on my part to get one as the last thing I want to deal with 1000 miles from home is a slide that leaks or won't operate properly. After 3 yrs no leaks so far but I still ask myself every time I hit that slide switch whether this will be the one time it doesn't work. :E That said, slides do open up the floor space but I sure wouldn't want one that impedes use of the entire interior of the camper when in the stored position. Ours doesn't so my only slide annoyance is the need to drag around a ladder so I can clean the top of the slide before storing it ... if it were a longer deep slide I'd invest in a topper but for a shallow sofa slide it's for me just not worth the cost.
