And when it was just the wife and I in our tiny TT with one battery and one 100W panel, we never needed the furnace in the day because it was summer. Usually we were trying to keep it cool with fans during the day. We only turned the furnace on at night at the lowest setting (55F, I think?) and it would kick on a few times per night depending on outside temps. We made it through many 3+ day long weekends and never ran out of battery. Never owned a generator back then.
