First time energy setup advice? (battery+solar)

Hi Jonny,

In your shoes here is what I would do:

1. replace the converter with a modern 3 stage unit.
2. add 60 amp controller that has a temperature compensation probe (this will allow maximum expansion)
3. add a 100 watt panel.

OR

1. replace the converter with a modern 3 stage unit
2. add a $10 controller from ebay
3. add a 100 watt panel.
