Presuming you want to enjoy the outdoors? Live somewhere just as awesome, but cheaper since you don't appear to have any ties to where you're at now.
Cost of living is high but so is the pay. The access to many national parks is amazing. The trick is high pay and keep the overhead low. They way I see it is we can pay the same or less as we would for a very small rental and still pay off something we can keep for years while socking away some money for future investments that will hopfully increase in value.
That being said, do you have any suggestions on areas we may want to check out in the future?
