Well Toedtoes is pretty thorough but we are on gas from the moment we leave the driveway. Unless its restricted, tunnels bridges, fridge is always on and no reason not to.
Once you have decided that you are ready to depart, get everyone in the TV. Walk around quietly without all the family distractions, crouch and look under neath. Jacks up, Stairs in, Electric stowed, nothing but the TV connected. Stand up walk around, storage all locked doors shut locked everything stowed and lashed down. Last step back look up, antennas down, vents closed. Turn on TV, turn on lights and flashers walk around, if all lights are on you have good connection. If flashers function so will directionals.
Look at hitch setup nothing dragging chains, electric. Get in. Tune out the interior and shove off. When parking, ask the family to not distract sends kid for ice cream. Take your time setting up. If you cant see when backing up, get out and look a few times. Much better than backing into a tree.
After you do the level chock etc,;et the family take over the rest, your job is done. Have a beer and let them enjoy their part.
