My brother told a story the other day about an almost-mishap during his pilot days in Vietnam Nam, and the lesson learned was to TRIPLE check the list when distracted by being in a strange location away from his usual home base routines.
Made an impression on me because like many, we travel from campground to campground on long trips seeing the sights, and scenarios greatly vary from place to place. So always lots of distractions arriving and leaving.
The other day, a NFS campground host told us about a big class A that had driven off the day before while still plugged in - destroyed the power box. So he was dealing with how to take care of campers arriving for that site in a full campground.
