Florida spends roughly 100 million dollars of my taxes on invasive species. (tourists not included, just kidding)   That is not peanuts.
It is a serious problem as the weather is so conducive for invasive species.  (No real winters) 
As fla-gypsy has pointed out, there are 18 stations on interstates. 
The agricultural stations also check diesel fuel for the presence of red dye, that indicates road taxes have not been paid. Big fines.
And they do mean PICKUP TRUCKS, too. They also check diesel pickups for dyed fuel. Happened to me at the U.S. 90 station at the Suwannee River.
