We recently bought our first RV to give us more freedom traveling with our dogs. Yup... we have four of them. They're small, from 5 to 10 pounds and don't bark much at all. We've yet to take our first outing, but have seen that many of the dog friendly parks set a limit of two dogs.We're feeling a little anxious. Does anyone have any experience with travelling with more than two dogs? Is the two dog limitation common?Thanks in advance for any advice and/or reassurance!

Many private campgrounds have a 3 dog limit, but you just have to ask in most cases.

Yes, it is fairly common. Sometimes exceptions are made, sometimes not. Be prepared to explain your plan to manage them if the park is willing to consider making an exception. Ranting and raving at a park employee who doesn't grant an exception won't earn you special treatment. Those pet limits came about from years of bad experiences.

We have stayed at a number of KOAs. When making reservations on line I have always checked the box that we have pets. They have never asked how many, the on line pet policy does not mention a number limit, no one has ever asked how many I have upon check in, and I don't remember any of the info sheets they give on check in ever mentioning a limit. We only have one Golden, that weighs more than your four combined, so I really have not ever paid much attention.

No dwayneb236,, I cant. I have 2 little yorkie yappers. they would roll on over me. Usually they sit on the dashboard and observe whats happening, but they do like to eliminate once in a while. Never mind they use pads, but my gosh, I have to get rid of that too, so you know.....;)

I believe these dog limit rules are meant to prevent a camper from having 6 pit bulls tied up outside, barking and scaring everyone in the park. Honestly, if you don't like my dogs, is only having 2 of them going to make things better for you...?

So bring 10 quiet ones and let them urinate and defecate all over every square inch on the campground...gross. So 10 sites bring 10 each and we have 100 dogs doing their business all over 4 times day? And then the other 90 sites with those dogs?

I think I'll just step away. This whole thread had degenerated as usual in this place. Too many opinions and opinionated people.

But let me be perfectly clear. I don't break rules and I'm actually a decent person. That's all I have left.

I'm waiting on you to tell me where I violated or implied I violated any rules crowe? Because you were definitely reading something into my posts that wasn't there.

My post was very straightforward in stating I have never stayed anywhere it is against the rules to leave you dog in your trailer unattended.

Nowhere I've camped has it stated you cannot leave your dogs unattended in my camper. I'm sure some places are like that but I've not been to them There have been sites where it states you cannot leave them unattended outside.

But, Oh my gosh call the news, we do leave our dogs unattended on occasion.

Wording was confusing. Comments were based on that, no more no less.

Me thinks you read too much in his post. As is typical on many forums, this one included, people want to read what they want to read.

Wasn't looking to "read" anything into this. BTW, your comments are the pot calling the kettle black!
