Four little dogs...

We recently bought our first RV to give us more freedom traveling with our dogs. Yup... we have four of them. They're small, from 5 to 10 pounds and don't bark much at all. We've yet to take our first outing, but have seen that many of the dog friendly parks set a limit of two dogs.

We're feeling a little anxious. Does anyone have any experience with travelling with more than two dogs? Is the two dog limitation common?

Thanks in advance for any advice and/or reassurance!

  • Yes, it is fairly common. Sometimes exceptions are made, sometimes not. Be prepared to explain your plan to manage them if the park is willing to consider making an exception. Ranting and raving at a park employee who doesn't grant an exception won't earn you special treatment. Those pet limits came about from years of bad experiences.
  • Many private campgrounds have a 3 dog limit, but you just have to ask in most cases.
