Isn't this the truth! Our 8 yr old dog was diagnosed last Jan with diabetes mellitus and let me tell you it's
really expensive, not just for the usual annual vet visits but the cost of insulin, syringes, prescription dog food ... as in thousands a year. :E As with kids you have to plan for the long term, not just now, so if you can't afford it don't even think about it.
