I am not an expert at camping, nor am I a beginner. However, I have noticed that most of my problems could ahve been solved by someone saying "It might be a good idea to bring/have/use *this* " ...

Most of us carry 10 times the tools, hardware and spare parts that we will ever need. I am now down to a kit half the size of a shoe box: hammer, pliers, wrenches, screw driver, wire, glue, duct tape, fuses and an few miscellaneous screws and bolts. I also recommend a small air compressor and a tire patch kit.
