All generators produce sine waves: some (inverter generators) by electronic means, others (non-inverter generators) by the physics of rotating a coil in a magnetic field at a constant speed. Granted, some of these sine waves may be noisier or otherwise less perfect than others, but there's no reason to avoid plugging any computers or other equipment into any properly-functioning generator of sufficient power to operate them.
