Gas or electric have there issues. A battery pack for a 36v cart will run you $600+ and will last you 5yrs IF you take care of them. Neighbors cart is a gas, and his clutch was bad, $500 later he's crusin again. Point being, either one can get costly.
I have a electric EZGO and like the quietness over a gas cart.
Some cart batteries may have a date stamp on one of the posts. the last # will be the date the batteries were made.
