OK Doug, rest easy my lad...
First, just cut through the muck, and tell us only about the problem, not the situation. So, hot water tanks are easy to troubleshoot, but have you taken it off bypass. Is there water in it?
Second, get some propane.
Third, is your battery good. How many bars on the idiot light.
Fourth, we presume you are plugged in... or on batteries?
