Actually, the GVWR of the trailer is nowhere near as important, IMO, as the ACTUAL weight of the trailer as loaded and ready for use. If the trailer weighs more than 5200 lbs. loaded and ready to go, IMO it may be SAFE to tow it, but you will not enjoy the experience. Chances are, nothing will bend, nothing will break, nobody will die or be injured, but you and your tow vehicle will NOT be happy! Good luck.
