Actually, the GVWR of the trailer is nowhere near as important, IMO, as the ACTUAL weight of the trailer as loaded and ready for use....
Example: My TT has a GVWR of 5500 pounds and so called dry weight of about 4300 pounds but loaded it hits the scale at 5000 pounds ready to travel but minus some food and bottles of water which could bring it to 5100 pounds.
