The owners of one the manufactures we represent did a variation of what the OP is considering here.
They converted an old Greyhound bus and upgraded the power train to tow another truck the size of a medium sized fire truck behind it. They toured the country for few years going to expo's and doing demonstrations with it. When I saw the coach they had built, it was on a visit where the owner was dropping off the demo machine for us for a few weeks while he and his wife took the coach and toured the local sights....excellent way to "work", in my opinion
Having done industrial expo's a few times, my only concern for the OP would be the logistics of loading in and out of their display stuff, but it depends of the amount of stuff and handling requirements. A pallet of freight is easy to move with a forklift, but forklifts would destroy a TH ramp. If the stuff is small and can be handled in loose pieces with a hand-truck, the the ramp would be fine.
Agreed and thought about this. With a dolly, moving the stuff is not so bad. It's all just boxes. The only reason we do the palette is easy shipping. Honestly, if I towed the range rover, the bulk of the show stuff could stay in the back, unload by dolly, couple of boxes of inventory to transfer, nothing is totally unmanageable or unwieldy.
