You might want to look at what it all will truly cost you. I think you will find it might be cheaper and faster to do it the way you are doing it. Unless you decide to full time it on the road. There are associated costs with it Thant the payment of the rv. Also to compare the difference of a class a to having a toy hauler/truck combo. Going on apples to apples I will use new as an example. You mentioned $140,000 for a class a. Well if you go the truck/toy hauler route, you are looking at about $75,000 for a toy hauler and $50,000 for a truck to pull it. $125,000. Sounds better right? Well once you figure a payment on the toy hauler of around $500/month and then a payment of spa out $500-600 for the truck a month (shorter terms than rv) , then you are easily spending $1000+ on payments. If you already have 1 ton truck to pull a toy hauler, then you are better off.
You need to figure in that on average, gas could cost you up to 50 cents a mile. Going somewhere that's 1000 miles away will cost you around $1000 in gas to go there and back. It will also take you a couple days to get there and a couple days to get back.
