For us having an rv also allowed us to do strings of shows farther away from home that we couldn't have afforded to do before because we would have had to pay for motel rooms between shows. We can now piggyback shows that are close to each other even if they are a couple of weeks apart. In between the shows we can visit sites in the area that we would never have been able to otherwise. Like others have stated you're better off with a low profile on the exterior rather than having to deal with the DOT laws. It has been a win win for us because our truck was getting on in miles and we were able to buy a low mileage motorhome and still put money in our pocket in the hotels savings. We now tend to take an extra day on both ends of the show to drive less miles per day where we used to push driving to save hotels. Now it's just WM on the way to and from. Jeff.
