I don't think it's going to save you any money. First the price of the RV, and they are not cheap, and then the price of gas, which is getting cheaper but you can figure you'll get 8 to 10 miles per gallon at best, and then the nightly campground cost, 30 and up. If you buy a Class A or C you will need a tow vehicle, if you get a trailer or a 5W, you will need a truck. Something to think about.
