We did it for awhile. Rv shows. We are friends with an insurance agent. He instructed us to get commercial insurance. Regular vehicle ins will not pay if you wreck your vehicle while using it commercially. And even then they won't cover inventory. We bought separate riders for that as we would carry 30-60k of stuff. Commercial ins ran 3k per year.
We did a DP and a trailer with a scooter. Sometimes DW drove a SUV behind.
We knew others that went with a toy hauler and truck and that would work fine.
You can get a TH with built in genset, which would not regret getting.
