Hooking up to house sepitc

Lots of people have used home septic systems for dumping their trailers. My desert buddy even built his own septic system at home to dump his trailer even though he has city sewer hooked up to his house. Most put the regular trailer waste hose into a clean out in the yard.

The general consensus is to not release the black tank all at once as you could flood the septic vault and over flow the solids but other than that proceed as normal.

I am in process of doing just this same thing on some land we just purchased All I am doing is running a 4in line to side of slab & turning up , then putting on cap to seal while rv gone.
I all ready have a adjustable 3in pipe with rv connection on one end & a 3/4 rubber reducer coupling We use at our rented site at the lake.
You can just use your flex hose to hook up but long term will deteriorate quickly in the sun.i wouldn't worry about amount dumped at one time if you just using your land as occasional get away place as we will do

Easy enough...use your regular sewer hose and the clean out from the septic system.

As already posted, don't dump everything all your tanks all at once or you may, "over dose" the system. Dump some and then let it rest for a while and dump some more.

You say the septic system for the old house is still intact? have your local Plumber come out and hook you up with a simple systems like the local state park has.

If your septic system is a holding tank and a dispersion field, I would make sure that what you have can handle the volume that you are going to introduce. It's not just the liquids that have to be dealt with. These systems are designed to deal with a flush at a time. Is there a pump or is it gravity......?

If you are connecting to a municipal sewer system, you should have no problems. You probably have a
4" PVC pipe with gravity flow to the main in the street. Find the end of the pipe and install a cleanout if you plan to extend it later. Make sure the pipe is capped upstream of the cleanout. If not, just install a 4" sweep (not an elbow) and extend it to the surface. Find an adaptor like you would see on an RV site and make sure it has a screw adaptor on top. Just hook up like you do at a camping site.

Ask your local RV site who their suppliers are........

I dump all at once in my septic. Done it for years. Septics have baffles. As water rises it goes out the leach line. If your leach line is clogging they have a special bacteria you can add which helps clearing leach lines.

When we were building our home we lived in our fifth wheel on family land hooked to the septic system. I hard piped it all the way using the vent line as the influent by installing a T there. I always dumped the black tank completely each time and never experienced any problems. When your washing machine empties, your tub, etc there is not that much difference in volume. But we were the only ones using the septic system too. I did have a small piece of flex hose to attach the tank effluent to the hard pipe.

To explain why people say don't dump it all at once... Remember, a septic tank operates 'full'. Every time something goes in, the equivalent amount goes out. Normally if this is a toilet flush or shower water, that amount of liquid simply flows out of the tank and into the drain field. If you dump 40 gallons or more at once, the drain field may not be able to accept that amount in a short time and the whole system could back up to your dump receptacle or make the drainfield area very soggy and stinky. Neither a washing machine nor a bathtub, while dumping the same volume, will do so in such a fast manner. Not dumping all at once can also cause the problem of most of the liquid leaving the black tank first leaving a lot of solids behind.
